Pokemon Bank[edit]

Pokemon Bank is an application that allows you to upload and store up to 3000 Pokemon to the internet, manage them, and download them to any of your Pokemon X and Y games.

The service will require an annual fee of $4.99, but a free trial period will be available from February 5 until March 14th, 2014.[1].

Download the app onto the 3DS to use it with any number of physical or digital copies of Pokemon X and Y at any time after obtaining your Pokedex in the game. You can then use the Pokemon Link option at the main menu of X and Y to receive the Pokemon.

Deposit enough Pokemon into the Pokemon Bank to earn either Poke Miles or Battle Points.

Poke Miles can be exchanged for select items in Lumiose City, or they can be exchanged at the Pokemon Global Link. See the Poke Miles page for more info.

Poke Transporter[edit]

Pokemon Bank will also be bundled with another app called Poke Transporter. This app allows you to upload Pokemon from Black, White, Black 2, and White 2 to the Pokemon Bank. The transfer is one way, which means they cannot be withdrawn to those generation five games.

Poke Transporter will not be available without Pokemon Bank!

To use the Poke Transporter, move your Pokemon to the first box in your copy of Black, White, Black 2, or White 2. Open up Poke Transporter and transfer all Pokemon in the first box over to the Pokemon Bank's transfer box. Open up Pokemon Bank and transfer the Pokemon from the transfer box to the other boxes. This can be done one at a time or by selecting multiple Pokemon by clicking the SELECT button before choosing Pokemon with the A button. Empty the transfer box and fill box one again in your game before using the Poke Transporter.

You may have noticed certain NPCs asking about specific Legendary Pokemon in the Kalos Region. Bring these Pokemon to certain people in Kalos to trigger special events. Examples shown in the pictures below include:

You can receive a free Celebi just for downloading and using Pokemon Bank with a copy of Pokemon X and Y. Follow the simple steps below to receive your free Pokemon:

1. Download and open Pokemon Bank with a copy of Pokemon X and Y in your 3DS. If you have the digital version, you don't have to worry about putting a game card in.
2. 'Purchase' the free pass after opening the App, just make sure to complete these steps before the 30 day trial is up.
3. Select 'Use Pokemon Bank' and choose your copy of Pokemon X or Y. You will receive 100 Poke Miles or 10 Battle Points for free. The more Pokemon you store in the Pokemon Bank, the more Poke Miles or Battle Points you get.
4. Place a Pokemon in your Pokemon Bank from Pokemon X or Y, or use the Poke Transporter to add Pokemon to the Pokemon Bank from Black, Black 2, White, or White 2. Save and exit when you're done.
5. Exit out of the app and start up your copy of Pokemon X and Y. Choose 'Pokemon Link' from the main menu of Pokemon X and Y and retrieve data. You should receive your Battle Points or Poke Miles for doing this.
6. Exit out of the game and open the Pokemon Bank app back up. Select a Pokemon X or Y game card and you'll receive your Celebi.
7. Open up Pokemon X and Y once more and select Pokemon Link again to receive Celebi in-game. It will be deposited in your first box. The Nature will be random.

Pokemon can be Transferred as far back as Generation 3 using certain means. If you're not sure how to do this, read the steps below.

• Generation three Pokemon can be transferred to Generation four if you have a DS with both the DS and GBA ports. Transfer the Pokemon using Pal Park in Generation four games.
• Generation four Pokemon can be transferred to Generation five games if you have two DS or 3DS systems. Transfer the Pokemon using the Poke Transfer Lab in Generation five games.
• Generation five Pokemon can be transferred to Generation six games using the Poke Transporter and Pokemon Bank 3DS apps. Those Pokemon can then be downloaded on to Pokemon X and Y.
